What is the KEHA?

The Kentucky Extension Homemakers Association (KEHA) is a volunteer organization that works to improve the quality of life for themselves, their families and their communities through leadership development, volunteer service, and education. Practical demonstrations and discussions are important parts of the meetings. The organization was developed in cooperation with the University of Kentucky Cooperative Extension Service. Across the state, County Extension Agents for Family and Consumer Sciences work closely with KEHA members and clubs to provide educational programming and coordinate community activities. Educational programs are implemented by members of county associations, in cooperation with the County Extension Agents, on the basis of the latest research data from the University of Kentucky. County, state and national meetings and workshops provide fellowship combined with concentrated learning opportunities and opportunities to enhance leadership skills.
